Annie Leibovitz

I guess people are confused because Annie Leibowitz was such a big part of the Film Noir portfolio :)

Thank you! Yes we knew Norman Jean Roy had something to do with it! 

And yes she is! One of our favorite series is the one entitled Killers Kill, Dead Men Die that she did for VF.

The other mods and I have a tracked tag dedicated to Annie so we can keep up with pictures that you wouldn’t usually be able to find when searching the interwebs

and lately I’ve been seeing a lot of confusion about pictures that are new, apart of a series, or even Annie’s at all.

So here is a quick break down of some things.

Annie’s most recent Disney pictures are just the Pirates with Johnny Depp & Patti Smith, Beauty and the Beast with Jeff Bridges & Penelope Cruz, Snow White with Alec Baldwin & Olivia Wilde, and The Little Mermaid with Queen Latifah. The rest of them are at least a few years old and are not apart of the newest series.

Also the Drew Barrymore photos that are apart of the Beauty and the Beast fashion spread featured in Vogue are NOT apart of the Disney Dreams ad campaign. That was an entire separate photo shoot that was actually, if I’m not mistaken, done years before the ad campaign started.

Finally the Psycho recreation of the shower scene featuring Marion Cotillard is NOT by Annie and is in fact done by Mark Seliger.

So far those are the main things I’ve been seeing for a few months now and I just wanted to make sure everyone knew the facts because we value the pride in the work people do. I’m sure Norman Jean Roy would be sad if he knew that Annie had been getting credit for his photos all along.
